The HP software was never really happy or stable in the Windows environment with a few update and software bugs that needed ironing out and also now refuses to "play nice" with any Linux or Chromebook devices so thats a deal breaker, probably a combination of planned obsolescence and lack of software support means this will be binned or become a second printer shortly.We are working to meet the current extraordinary customer demand for our products. Read more e life of the printer, the printer itself was actually pretty reliable, and the scanner did fine but we found that the Wireless network software (and installed bloatware) became increasingly problematic where the printer would always "forget" it was connected to a standard stable NBN wireless home network, and eventually refused to communicate with any computer wirelessly, although USB connections with Windows PCs is still fine. This printer sure likes to use ink, and the ink ain't cheap but we didn't have any issues with clogged nozzles or paper misalignment that other had, but always used genuine HP cartridges so this isn't the cheapest printer in the world to own over th. This was an impulse/grudge purchase approx 4-5 years ago, and we had a pretty similar run to most here for such a cheap printer, it got light home use of mostly colour printing school kids assignments, printing a few forms etc along with a little bit of photo printing and some scanning and copying.
